- Peace lily contains sharp calcium oxalate crystals that can cause inflammation and irritation in the mouth and throat of dogs when consumed. This can lead to hypersalivation, diarrhea, and vomiting. In severe cases, it may cause breathing difficulties.
- The plant’s sap can also trigger skin irritation if it comes into contact with a dog's skin.
