Risks
- All parts of the black locust, including its leaves, contain toxalbumins such as robin, phasin, and robitin. The seeds and bark have the highest concentrations of these toxins.
- Ingesting any part of the black locust may cause symptoms such as loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, and breathing difficulties in dogs. Additional signs to watch for include weakness, dilated pupils, and cold limbs.
