- Winter aconite contains naturally occurring cardiac glycosides that can trigger vomiting, nausea, and diarrhea in dogs. Cardiac arrhythmia may also occur.
- The toxins are present in all parts of the winter aconite, including its bark, stems, fruits, leaves, and roots.
