Risks
- All parts of the ragwort plant are considered poisonous. Its toxic substance, pyrrolizidine alkaloids, poses a significant risk to grazing animals and can be harmful to dogs as well. If dogs accidentally consume ragwort, even in small amounts, they may experience gastrointestinal upset, weakness, and depression. Ingesting it in larger amounts can lead to severe liver damage and potentially death.
