Risks
- Some parts of the groundsel plant, including the roots, leaves, and stems, contain low concentrations of hepatotoxins. While it would take large doses to cause poisoning, the plant is still potentially harmful to dogs.
- Adverse effects from excessive groundsel consumption in dogs may include lethargy, distended stomach, staggering, jaundice, and excessive urination.
