Risks
- Fumewort has reportedly caused fatal poisoning in grazing livestock. While there have been no documented cases of fumewort poisoning in dogs, it should still be considered potentially toxic to them.
- The alkaloids in this plant can cause adverse reactions such as mouth sores and gingivitis if ingested in large quantities. Neurological issues like depression, convulsions, and seizures may also occur.
