Risks
- The roots, stems, leaves, and flowers of butterfly weed are toxic to dogs. Early signs of poisoning include abnormal heart rate, low body temperature, and low blood pressure.
- Additional symptoms of butterfly weed poisoning in dogs include hypersalivation, vomiting, diarrhea, lack of coordination, and, in severe cases, seizures.
