- Several parts of the bobo hydrangea, including its leaves, flowers, and buds, contain the toxin amygdalin. Flowers and young leaves of this plant tend to house high levels of this poisonous compound.
- Ingesting small amounts of bobo hydrangea can trigger vomiting and diarrhea in dogs. In large doses, this plant can cause depression, lethargy, and disorientation.
