- Anemone contains the toxic compound anemonin, which can irritate mucous membranes and cause blisters. Other adverse reactions, such as shock, tremors, and seizures, may also occur.
- The white variations of the anemone are believed to pose the highest risk to dogs, as they tend to be the most poisonous.
