In its raw form, it contains calcium oxalate crystals, which are toxic and can irritate a dog’s mouth and digestive tract. Cooking removes these harmful compounds. When prepared correctly, konjac corm provides beneficial soluble fiber along with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
