- The philodendron melanochrysum produces calcium oxalate crystals that can upset the stomach of dogs when consumed. It can also lead to diarrhea, bloody stools, and inappetence.
- If the plant comes into contact with your dog’s mouth, it can trigger oral irritation, causing swelling of the mouth and tongue. As a result, your dog may experience difficulty breathing and swallowing.
